Ocean Leaders Fellowship 2026, Kenya – Fully Funded

The Ocean Leaders Fellowship 2026, a fully financed program in Kenya for applicants from all around the world, is currently accepting applications. A 12-day foreign travel to Kenya from June 9–19, 2026, is part of the eight-month fellowship. All costs are entirely covered, and there is no application fee. Forty fellows will be chosen to attend an in-person international leadership institute. The global 30×30 project, which aims to preserve 30% of the planet’s land and ocean by 2030, is the main emphasis of the 2026 program. Fellows will actively help achieve biodiversity conservation goals and expedite the national establishment of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Age Requirements: At the time of selection, the candidate must be at least eighteen years old.
  • must be no older than 35 on June 20, 2026, the day the in-person session concludes.
  • requires at least a C1 level of English ability in order to guarantee productive teamwork.
  • According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), C1 English competence is the “Advanced” level.
  • must exhibit strong potential or leadership in environmental policy, climate action, or ocean conservation.

Kenya is the host nation.

Program Length: 8 months (virtual) with a 12-day travel abroad
