The UNHCR Internship Program 2026, which offers a priceless chance to obtain practical experience with one of the top humanitarian organizations in the world, is currently accepting applications. The mission of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is to safeguard the rights and welfare of refugees, internally displaced people, and stateless people across the globe. UNHCR is looking for driven interns through this program to assist with its operations in different duty stations throughout the world.
The internship is fully sponsored and offers financial assistance to lower participation costs. In addition to a half-monthly stipend to assist with basic living expenses, including food, lodging, and local transportation, selected interns are covered for return travel expenses. Candidates of any nationality who have just graduated from college or are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible to apply.
The UNHCR Internship Program gives candidates the opportunity to obtain hands-on, real-world experience in the humanitarian and development fields for at least two months. Interns gain professional skills in refugee protection, policy, communications, research, program management, and field operations while collaborating closely with seasoned UN employees on worthwhile initiatives. For students and young professionals who want to pursue careers in international organizations, human rights, or humanitarian aid, this internship is a great starting point.
