The fully funded Kyoto University iCeMS Internship 2026 in Japan is currently accepting applications from foreign students worldwide. This six-week program gives a rare opportunity to obtain practical research experience in cutting-edge areas of cell and material sciences and is especially tailored for students currently enrolled at universities outside of Japan. The Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Study (KUIAS)’s Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) will host the participants, where they will collaborate closely with top academics on active projects.

Eligibility Criteria:
- All nationalities may apply for the iCeMS Internship Program.
- Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at a university outside of Japan at the time of application.
- After finishing the internship, candidates should have at least two semesters left in their undergraduate program.
- Candidates must exhibit a strong desire to work in an iCeMS laboratory at Kyoto University for graduate study.
