International students from all around the world are welcome to apply for the Central European University Scholarship 2026 in Hungary. Students are urged to apply if they want to pursue a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. For Master’s and PhD programs, fully funded scholarships are available, and tuition price awards are offered for undergraduate students.
For the academic year 2026–2027, more than fifty degree programs in 17 departments are available in English. For graduate students, the fellowship pays for tuition and additional costs. An English proficiency certificate may be submitted in lieu of an IELTS or TOEFL exam, and there is no application fee. CEU is a distinguished private research university that was founded in 1991 and is well-known throughout the world for its academic brilliance.
Eligibility Criteria :
- International applicants of any nationality are eligible.
- Candidates for the bachelor’s program must have a high school diploma.
- Candidates for the master’s program must have a transcript and a certificate of undergraduate education.
- Doctoral Program: Master’s degree holders are required
- Language Requirement: Evidence of English language competency is necessary.

- 1,000 EUR per month for the CEU Master’s Excellence Scholarship
- 750 EUR per month for the CEU Master’s Distinction Scholarship

- Doctoral Scholarships at CEU: 1,350 EUR per month
Awards for Undergraduate Degrees:
- Two 5,000 EUR Presidential Awards for exceptional pupils
Coverage of tuition for four years:
- First year: 500 euros
- Second year: 1,000 euros
- Third year: 1,500 euros
- Year IV: 2,000 euros
