Westlake University Summer Internship 2026 in China (Funded)

The 2026 Summer Internship at Westlake University in China is currently accepting applications, providing a fantastic opportunity for overseas students. Current undergraduates, master’s students, and recent graduates are eligible to apply for this supported program. The internship will take place from July 13 to August 14, 2026, for a total of five weeks.

IELTS is not necessary if applicants can offer alternative evidence of their English competence, and there is no application cost. In addition to attending academic seminars and experiencing Chinese culture in Hangzhou, participants will get practical research experience under eminent scientists.

There are about 100 internship spots available for more than 50 research projects in 2026, offering students the opportunity to collaborate on cutting-edge scientific investigations and broaden their international academic network.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Applicants from all nations, with the exception of China, are welcome to apply.
  • Passport: Candidates need to have a current passport.
  • Current Students: You must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program and anticipate graduating in 2027 or 2028.
  • Graduates: Those who have earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree are also qualified to apply.

Qualifications for Educational Background:

  • Biology: A grounding in biology education.
  • Medical background: either clinical or basic.
  • Biomedical engineering, materials science and engineering, optical engineering, electronic science and technology, and environmental science and engineering are examples of engineering specialties.
  • Sciences: Background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Pharmacy.
  • Computer Science: Technology and computer science background.
  • similar Fields: Candidates from closely similar fields might also be taken into account.

China is the host nation.                    

Westlake University is the host institution.
