Early-to-mid-career professionals have the chance to develop their leadership and governance skills through the Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship, a collaborative effort with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. A £30,780 stipend is given to chosen fellows to cover living expenses in London, such as housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other necessities.
Fellows participate in an organized leadership curriculum, work on the Institute’s key projects, and broaden their international affairs professional networks. The fellowship emphasizes good governance as a key component of raising the standard of living throughout the continent in order to cultivate competent African leaders. This fully funded program supports influential careers in public policy and government by offering practical experience, professional growth, and mentorship.
Eligibility Criteria :
- All African nationals are welcome to apply.
- Dual citizens, especially those from African nations, are also qualified.
- Candidates must have research experience and a completed BA degree or its equivalent.
- Professionals in their early to mid-career who work in academia, NGOs, business, government, civic society, or the media are ideal candidates.
- Fellows are expected to dedicate themselves full-time to the fellowship; concomitant job or studies are not allowed. They must be knowledgeable about and interested in international affairs, their field of study, and Chatham House’s mission and work.
