ICTP & University of Trieste Med Physics Scholarships 2026, Italy (Fully Funded)

The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, in partnership with the University of Trieste, is currently accepting applications for the Med Physics Scholarships 2026. This prestigious two-year, fully financed Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Physics and Radiation Metrology program was created especially for physics graduates from underdeveloped nations.

The program, which is co-sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency, combines academic coursework with practical clinical training to give students the information and skills necessary for employment as radiation metrologists and clinical medical physicists. Strong international recognition is ensured by its accreditation by the International Organization for Medical Physics and endorsement by the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics.

Participants benefit from real clinical experience in hospitals, helping to address the global shortage of qualified medical physicists. Upon completion, graduates receive internationally recognized qualifications, making this program one of the few fully funded pathways into clinical medical physics for students from developing countries.
