The National Taiwan Library Fellowship 2026 is currently accepting applications. For three to six months, overseas visiting academics can do study in Taiwan’s oldest public library, the National Taiwan Library (NTL), thanks to this fully supported fellowship. IELTS is not necessary, and there is no application fee.
With an emphasis on Taiwan Studies or Southeast Asian Studies, the fellowship is intended for academics from international universities to conduct research in the humanities and social sciences. Its main objective is to encourage international research alliances and information sharing through academic exchange and engagement with international universities.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Academic personnel at international universities, including professors and lecturers
- Researchers with postdoctoral degrees
- PhD candidates or holders
- Academic institutions’ library or research staff
- Suggested applicants from affiliated universities
- All nationals are welcome.
Taiwan is the host nation.
The National Taiwan Library is the host institution.
Time frame: three to six months
