Qualified postgraduate students are invited to apply to the University of Guelph, Canada’s Department of Food Science. For chosen applicants, this fully funded fellowship offers complete financial assistance, including full tuition reimbursement and a living allowance. In order to prepare them for careers in government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and consulting firms, students will receive excellent, comprehensive training in food science and associated subjects.
The department, which is a division of the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC), is renowned throughout the world for its superiority in food innovation and research. It is well-known in the fields of advanced processing, food chemistry, human nutrition, and agri-food systems. Postharvest technologies, food physics, precision nutrition, and digital food systems are among the research topics that are backed by contemporary computational and analytical tools.
Eligibility Criteria :
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, data science, agriculture, environmental science, or a similar discipline
- shown an interest in agricultural systems, data-driven modeling, or food systems
- Basic understanding of machine learning and statistics; familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or R is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
- Extremely driven and capable of working in a multidisciplinary research setting
- must fulfill the University of Guelph’s MSc entry standards (minimum A-/80% or above).
