The Universitas Indonesia Decolonizing Humanities Fellowship 2027, a financed worldwide initiative intended for mid-career researchers from Africa and Southeast Asia, is currently accepting applications. This fellowship, which is hosted by Universitas Indonesia with funding from the Gerda Henkel Stiftung, aims to promote cooperation among academics from the Global South and advance decolonial ideas in humanities study.
Selected recipients of this fellowship will have the chance to spend six to twelve months in Indonesia conducting research, teaching, and participating in multidisciplinary academic interactions. The program is a great chance for scholars who want to expand their academic horizons because it provides monthly financial support, travel help, visa facilitation, and research funding.
The Decolonizing Humanities Fellowship 2027 is intended to assist scholars who are questioning Eurocentric narratives in the humanities. It encourages South-to-South cooperation, allowing academics from Southeast Asia and Africa to actively participate in debates about decolonial approaches.
