University of Toronto Women in Global Health Leadership Fellowship 2026 | Fully Funded

The University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health Women in Global Health Leadership Fellowship for 2026–2027 is now accepting applications.

The goal of this fully funded 12-month fellowship is to help gifted African women who are dedicated to promoting gender equity in global health develop their leadership abilities.

In conjunction with the Mastercard Foundation, the University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Moi University School of Public Health, and University of Cape Town School of Public Health have created the program.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Recognize yourself as a lady
  • Have five to fifteen years of experience working in local, regional, or international public health as an early to mid-career professional.
  • possess a postgraduate diploma or certificate, master’s degree, or doctorate in public health, health policy, health sciences, or a similar subject.
  • Employment in public health policy, practice, education, and/or research
  • Show off your great leadership abilities through your career, studies, or volunteer activity.
  • live and work in South Africa or Kenya
  • Be a citizen of Africa
  • Speak English well
  • In early 2027, be able to take a leave of absence to attend a one-week in-person leadership course in Kenya.
  • Obtain a valid passport in order to enter Kenya.

Kenya is the host nation.

Benefits include full sponsorship, a living and family allowance, travel expenses, lodging, and meals.

IELTS Requirement: Not necessary

Benefits :

  • Workshops and training sessions led by experts
  • Opportunities for individualized mentoring
  • Assistance and direction for creating a leadership initiative
  • One-week in-person training that is fully sponsored, including lodging, meals, and transportation
  • Financial assistance for a chosen group of individuals

In-Person Instruction :

  • Attendance at the one-week in-person training program is mandatory for all fellows. Meals, lodging, and transportation will all be paid for.

Financial Assistance :

  • A living and family support stipend will be provided to participants to aid with childcare, elder care, lost income, and other costs associated with full fellowship participation.
