The Global Peace Photo Award 2026 is currently accepting applications. For a chance to win a fully paid trip to Vienna, Austria, photographers from all over the world are encouraged to submit their most impactful and motivational images.
Images that promote peace, human rights, social justice, environmental responsibility, and humanitarian ideals are recognized in the Global Peace Photo Award, an international photographic competition. The winners will be invited to the September 2026 award ceremony in Vienna, and all travel and lodging costs will be paid. The esteemed Alfred Fried Peace Medal will also be awarded to the winners.
The prize seeks to honor and encourage photographers whose work demonstrates beauty, generosity, and hope in daily life while capturing humanity’s attempts to create a more peaceful world. Eligibility Criteria:
- Photographers from all around the world are welcome to compete.
- Participants under the age of 14 are eligible for a special category called “Children’s Peace Image of the Year.”
- The primary Global Peace Photo Award categories, such as Single Image and Stories, are open to photographers who are at least 15 years old.
- High-quality .jpg files with at least 3000 pixels on the longer side are required for submission.
- To maintain a neat and polished appearance, submitted photos shouldn’t include any watermarks, logos, names, or borders.
Benefits:
- A total of €11,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
- Tickets for round-trip travel to Austria will be given to the chosen participants.
- There will be complete coverage for lodging in Vienna.

Cash Prizes & Invitation to Austria
- A total of €11,000 in cash prizes will be awarded across multiple categories.
- The Peace Image of the Year winner will receive €7,000.
- In the Stories Category, three winners will each be awarded €1,000.
- The Single Image Category winner will receive €1,000.
- The winner of the Children’s Peace Image of the Year category will also receive €1,000.
- All winners will be honored with the prestigious Alfred Fried Peace Medal.
