Eligibility Criteria :
- knowledge of the ecology and evolution of birds or mammals.
- Proficiency in color science and quantitative analysis, especially receptor-noise limited models using R or Python to examine camouflage ecology.
- familiarity with comparative evolutionary methods, including Bayesian Phylogenetic Mixed Models, Phylogenetic Generalized Least Squares (PGLS), phylogenetic route analysis, and ancestral state reconstruction.
- practical knowledge of Resonon hyperspectral imaging devices.
- knowledge of Ocean Optics spectrophotometry apparatus.
- experience carrying out remote fieldwork in difficult settings, such as high-altitude areas and deserts.
- expertise conducting research on museum collections.
- proficiency in molecular biology, including genetic data processing, gene amplification (MC1R and ASIP), sample collecting, and DNA extraction.
- a publishing history relevant to the candidate’s background in academia and research.
- obtaining a Master’s (MS) and Bachelor’s (BS) degree.
