Applications are currently available for the Yokohama National University (YNU) Scholarship 2026 in Japan. International students from all nations are welcome to apply for the Japanese government’s fully supported MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees for the 2026–2027 academic year. The Master’s program lasts 2 years, while the Doctoral program covers 3 years. Applicants are not required to have Japanese language skills or IELTS/TOEFL scores if their previous education was in English—an English Proficiency Certificate is sufficient. Courses are delivered in English, making it appropriate for global learners. Eligibility Criteria :
Must possess nationality from a country having diplomatic ties with Japan.
Must be 34 years old or younger as of April 1, 2026.

Both undergraduate and graduate degrees should have outstanding academic records.
A four-year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree (or comparable credentials) are required.
