The European University Institute Fellowship does not require academic training and is open to mid-career professionals from all around the world with real-world policy experience. The Global Leaders Fellowship offers a €2,500 monthly award, €1,200 in travel reimbursement, family allowances, and assistance with living in Florence. The comprehensive specifics of the fellowship are described in this page, which also provides candidates with a step-by-step application guide. The Florence School of Transnational Governance (STG) offers a residential program called the Policy Leader Fellowship (PLF) to those who work in public administration, politics, the media, non-governmental organizations, and related disciplines. The fellowship, which is housed in one of the top academic institutions in Europe, provides access to the STG and EUI research community as well as firsthand experience to EU policy processes.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Potential and Accomplishments: Candidates are assessed according to their contributions to the policy field and their professional accomplishments. A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is a prerequisite.
- Focus Area Alignment: The work of applicants should be broadly related to academic research and STG programs. While other policy topics may be taken into consideration, those that coincide with STG’s primary themes are given precedence.
- Fellowship Work Plan: In the context of transnational policy, evaluation takes into account the applicant’s suggested work plan’s quality, viability, and possible impact.
- Motivation: Candidates must articulate how the fellowship will help them advance professionally and what they can offer the STG. Those who can both benefit from and contribute to the STG and EUI communities are given preference.
