Niskanen Summer Institute 2026 – USA (Fully Funded)

The Niskanen Summer Institute 2026 in the United States is now accepting applications. International undergraduate students are welcome to participate in this fully sponsored, week-long academic program in Washington, D.C., from June 8 to June 12, 2026. There is no application fee; the institution pays for all costs, including a stipend, lodging, meals, local transportation, and airfare. Through the Niskanen Center’s methodology, participants explore the nexus of economics, governance, and institutional reform while gaining extensive exposure to U.S. politics and public policy. Immigration, criminal justice, healthcare, energy and climate change, and government efficacy are important subjects. This is a very competitive leadership-focused program, with just 15–20 students chosen.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Students are urged to apply if they are interested in learning more about liberal democracy and open societies.
  • Candidates that appreciate multiple viewpoints and like interacting with those who have different opinions
  • cooperative, team-focused problem solvers who flourish in hectic, conversation-based settings
  • Accepting undergraduates who graduate in 2026 or later

The United States is the host nation
