Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be nationals of a nation that is qualified to receive Official Development Assistance (ODA).
  • Candidates must have a PhD or comparable professional research expertise in their discipline.
  • Prior to completing the fellowship application, the doctorate degree must be finished.
  • Candidates should have a solid academic record that includes intellectual contributions and demonstrated research accomplishments.
  • A well-thought-out independent research proposal pertaining to their areas of expertise and academic interest must be submitted by candidates.
  • For the duration of the fellowship, fellows must be willing and able to live in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

  • During their fellowship at the University of Edinburgh, researchers are required to actively participate in the academic community.
