University of Maine Scholarship 2026 in USA | Fully Funded

International students can pursue MSc and PhD studies in the United States through fully financed graduate assistantship opportunities offered by the University of Maine. The scholarship provides a $31,333 annual living stipend, health insurance, and full tuition for the duration of the study period.

The opportunity, which is offered by the School of Forest Resources, focuses on optimizing the forest biomass supply chain while taking social, ecological, and economic sustainability into consideration. The study is to investigate advanced forest products in the Northeastern United States and is funded by a USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture grant.

Selected students will participate in policy research, ecological modeling, and economic analysis pertaining to cutting-edge forest-based technologies and sustainable materials. 

Eligibility Criteria :

  • A bachelor’s degree in forestry, economics, statistics, or a quantitative environmental or social science discipline with experience in natural resource management is required of applicants.
  • Strong GPA, competitive GRE scores, and outstanding scientific writing and communication abilities are required of candidates.
  • It is ideal to have programming, GIS, and statistical analysis experience.
  • great quantitative analysis abilities, the capacity for independent investigation, and a great track record of academic success are all desirable qualities.
  • Applications from women and applicants of color are highly encouraged.
