Africans who are interested can apply for the Government of Ireland Africa Development Program through the Ireland Ministry for Agriculture.
This initiative seeks to provide a €250,000 fund for a project that will have a long-term developmental impact in order to promote the sustainable expansion of the regional food industry.
We will go over all the specifics of this opportunity in this post, including the qualifications, rewards, and how to apply if you’re interested. The Ireland Ministry for Agriculture, Food, and the Marine and the Ministry of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are partners in the Government of Ireland’s Africa Agri-food Development Programme (AADP). Its goal is to encourage collaborations between Irish and African agri-food businesses.
The AADP aims to develop relationships between the Irish agri-food sector and African nations in order to promote local food industry sustainability, create markets for regional produce, and increase commerce between Ireland and Africa.
The Irish agri-food sector’s knowledge, resources, and investment are intended to be leveraged by the fund. Through private sector investment, projects should show long-term developmental impacts and result in sustainable benefits.

- The Irish-registered agri-food company’s contribution cannot contain money from any other Irish public funding source. If a business has applied for AADP funding before and was approved, it must specify in the application form how the current project’s objectives and aims differ from those of the first funding cycle.
- A list of possible partners should be included in the application if one is suggesting a feasibility study.
- Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia are among the countries where projects will receive support.
