Specifically created for exceptional international students from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) nations, Central South University’s (CSU) 2025 Silk Road Scholarship Program is a distinguished, fully financed program under the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC). Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality: Candidates must not be citizens of China.

Academic Performance: It is necessary to have a solid academic foundation.

Health: Must have no criminal history and be in good physical and mental health.

Age Requirements:

  • Candidates for master’s degrees: Those under 35
  • Candidates for PhDs: Under 40

Proficiency in Language:

  • HSK Level 4 (minimum score of 180; 260 is desirable) for programs taught in Chinese
  • An IELTS score of 6.0 or higher or a TOEFL score of 85 or higher is required for programs taught in English.

Native speakers and graduates of Chinese- or English-taught programs are eligible for exemptions.
