Applications for the eighth edition of the Doucet Scholarship are now being accepted by the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory (MPI-LHLT). Early-career scholars based outside of Frankfurt are the target audience for this esteemed, fully funded opportunity, with Latin American submissions being especially encouraged.
From January 5 to March 31, 2026, a three-month research stay in Germany is provided under the scholarship. It seeks to promote scholarly interest in the Doucet Collection, one of the most important collections on colonial legal history. The initiative provides assistance to academics studying colonial legal history, particularly those who use the monographs and source editions in the collection.

Eligibility Criteria:
