The coveted KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2026, which is fully financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Government of Indonesia, is currently accepting applications. International students from underdeveloped nations are supported by the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship to study bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees at 31 participating Indonesian universities.
The scholarship offers opportunity to experience Indonesia’s rich cultural, linguistic, and social milieu in addition to covering living expenses and tuition. More than 1,800 students from 99 countries have benefited from it since its founding. There will be 222 scholarships available in 2026: 30 for bachelor’s degree students, 162 for master’s degree students, and 30 for doctoral students. The curriculum lasts 24 months for master’s degrees and up to 48 months for bachelor’s and doctoral degrees.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Citizenship: Candidates must be from underdeveloped nations.
Bachelor’s Degrees:
- A high school degree is required.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree previously earned are ineligible.
Master’s Degrees:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Candidates with an existing Master’s degree are ineligible.
Doctoral Programs:
- A Master’s degree is required.
- Candidates with a PhD already are not eligible.
- Age restrictions are as follows: 21 years for bachelor’s degrees, 35 for master’s degrees, and 40 for doctoral degrees.
- All applicants must be proficient in English, with the exception of native speakers and those who have previously attended English-speaking universities.
