Bulgaria INSAIT Summer Research Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded)

International students have a rare opportunity to obtain practical research experience in computer science, artificial intelligence, and related technologies at one of Bulgaria’s top research institutes through the Bulgaria INSAIT Summer Research Fellowship 2026. With flexible start and end dates decided by the student and their designated mentor, the fellowship lasts 8 to 12 weeks, enabling participants to fit the program into their schedule.

Undergraduate and graduate students in related subjects from all over the world are welcome to enroll in the program, which is held at the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Technology (INSAIT) in Sofia, Bulgaria. Under the direction of INSAIT academics, its primary objective is to engage students in worthwhile research projects that promote international cooperation, skill development, and mentoring.

There is no application fee, and the program is completely supported, covering living expenses, housing, and other necessary fees. For most participants, acquiring a visa is simple because Bulgaria is already a part of the Schengen Area. The fellowship offers cultural exposure in addition to academic research, allowing students to interact with peers from around the globe and experience Bulgarian culture. For students who want to improve their research abilities, broaden their academic portfolio, and obtain global experience in computer science and artificial intelligence, this program is perfect.
