For young leaders from the St. Louis metropolitan region in the United States who are actively making a difference in their communities, the OYW Leading St. Louis Scholarship 2026 is a fully financed opportunity. The initiative, which is sponsored by BrightPath STEAM Academy and World Wide Technology, chooses six outstanding people to go to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2026. During the summit, which will take place from November 3–6, 2026, the scholarship will cover lodging from November 2–6, 2026, as well as international travel, food, and local transportation. Young leaders come together for this international gathering to discuss urgent issues, exchange ideas, and create global networks. It honors people who have demonstrated innovation, leadership, and a dedication to bringing about significant social change.
Eligibility Criteria :
- must be a resident of the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area and actively making an impact there.
- must be an American citizen.
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30; outstanding applicants above 30 may be given consideration.
- Strong speaking, reading, and writing skills in English are required.
- must have a current passport.
- must exhibit leadership abilities with quantifiable effects on the community.
- must have a track record of bringing about constructive change in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- must be in line with the ideals of One Young World and a dedication to improving the world.
- Attending the summit requires a clear statement of purpose and motivation.
- Strong communication abilities are necessary to represent St. Louis internationally.
