The Southwest Jiaotong University Silk Road Scholarships in China for 2026–2027 are now accepting applications. Applications for fully financed Master’s and PhD degree programs in science, engineering, and related subjects are encouraged from international students from Belt and Road Initiative nations.
The scholarship, which is funded by the Chinese government, pays for living expenses, tuition, health insurance, and on-campus housing for the duration of the study period. For those who have studied English in the past, IELTS is frequently not necessary.
One of China’s top engineering and research universities, Southwest Jiaotong University was established in 1896 and is renowned for its outstanding academic standing, state-of-the-art facilities, and welcoming atmosphere for international students.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must be in good mental and physical health.
- All international students are welcome to apply, with the exception of Chinese nationals.
- Applicants for master’s degrees must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35.
- PhD candidates must have a master’s degree in hand and be under 40 years old.
- Programs taught in Chinese require an HSK Level 4 certificate.
- Candidates must fulfill Southwest Jiaotong University’s academic and linguistic standards.
