University of Montana Graduate Scholarship 2026 | Step-by-Step Guide

The 2026 University of Montana Graduate Scholarship in the United States is now accepting applications. Outstanding students pursuing a Master’s degree in related subjects are eligible for this fully financed opportunity. Along with extra academic support features, the scholarship offers a comprehensive yearly stipend of $31,200 in addition to covering all tuition costs.

The chosen student will reside in Missoula, Montana, and the position is centered within the University of Montana’s Wildlife Biology Program. In cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, fieldwork will be carried out in the Southeast of the country.

In order to assist forest management and conservation plans, the research focuses on monitoring aquatic resources, including statistical analysis and synthesis of fish population and genetic data.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Strong quantitative abilities and familiarity with R, JAGS, and STAN software
  • Proficiency in genetic or genomic data analysis
  • Outstanding communication abilities both in writing and speaking
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) proficiency
  • It is preferred to have prior fieldwork experience in stream habitats in the southern Appalachian Mountains.
