The Rhodes West Africa Scholarship 2027, a distinguished, fully financed opportunity for exceptional individuals to undertake postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford, is currently accepting applications. One of the oldest and most prestigious international scholarship programs in the world, the Rhodes Scholarship was founded in 1903 and is run by the Rhodes Trust. Approximately 100 international scholars are chosen to attend Oxford University each year.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Mali, Niger, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Mauritania, São Tomé and Principe, or Saint Helena are among the West African nations where applicants must be citizens.
  • Candidates must have spent at least five of the previous ten years residing in one or more qualifying nations.
  • Generally speaking, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 24 by October 1, 2025; however, some professional disciplines and late graduates may have higher age restrictions.
  • Before the application deadline, candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree with First Class Honors or an equivalent academic standing. Candidates in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy should show distinction in important academic topics.
